Summer Neuroscience in Salamanca
Salamanca, Spain
This short-term, faculty-led program is structured around 2 courses for a total of 6 credits. Students will select a neuroscience course taught by UConn faculty and enroll in a Spanish language course at the appropriate level from beginner to advanced scientific and medical Spanish taught by instructors at the University of Salamanca. Courses typically taught include Drugs & Behavior, the Neurobiology of Hearing, and Physiological Psychology.  In addition to students from UConn,

Summer Psychology in Florence
Florence, Italy
Students seeking a short-term program in Europe will appreciate this Maymester opportunity led by UConn faculty. Explore Florence while learning about multicultural psychology with a group of UConn students and hosted by our partners at ISI Florence. This 3-credit course can fulfill a Content Area 4 requirement: Diversity & Multiculturalism.

Winter Sign Language in Puerto Rico
Luquillo, Puerto Rico
This immersive winter session program offers students the chance to engage with the Deaf Puerto Rican community through daily activities and cultural exploration. Participants will learn about both American Sign Language (ASL) and Puerto Rican Sign Language (PRSL) while visiting historical landmarks, sampling local cuisine, and connecting with local Deaf leaders. Pre- and post-travel assignments, including a community engagement project, encourage students to reflect on language and culture from a global perspective. Prerequisites: ASLN 1103 or higher and/or consent of the instructor.

Summer Psychology in Vienna
Vienna, Austria
This faculty-led summer program in Vienna, Austria, offers students the opportunity to explore global perspectives on women, gender, and society. Through classroom learning and cultural immersion, students will examine issues such as gender roles, socialization, violence against women, LGBTQ rights, and the intersections of race, culture, and class. By engaging with Vienna’s rich history, art, and politics, students will gain deeper insight into why the city is considered one of the most gender-sensitive in the world.

Offering semester and Academic year exchanges, KU is known for excellence in teaching, research and service. Students can select courses from the social sciences that fit their plan of study while learning about Korean culture and language. Some previous course titles include Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Psychology of Memory, Sensation & Perception, Clinical Psychology and Emotional Regulation & Stress Management.

Athens, Greece
Study at the American College of Greece and have the support of our partner organization AIFS, who will assist students with everything from registering for courses, to housing placement, to organizing events and excursions meant to dive into cultural learning.

Semester at Sea
Semester at Sea is a transformative study abroad experience that offers students the chance to travel to 10+ countries while earning a full semester of college credit. Unlike traditional programs, it combines rigorous academics with hands-on global learning, fostering a deep, authentic engagement with diverse cultures. Living and studying aboard a ship, students build a close-knit community while gaining the leadership skills, global perspective, and real-world experience that set them apart in their careers and beyond.

Finances are an integral part of the program selection and planning process. Research scholarships early to meet application deadlines and request feedback on essays from advisors and the Writing Center.
