With the factories of many highly visible companies like Mercedes-Benz and Bosch located in Stuttgart, an academic year spent studying there could prove to be an important component of your future.  The Baden-Württemberg Exchange offers you the opportunity to earn UConn credits studying at the University of Stuttgart. Located in the capital of Baden-Württemberg, the University of Stuttgart originated in 1829 as a school of commerce and trade and was elevated to a full university in 1967. Today Stuttgart boasts 120 departments housed in 14 schools. Some of the best known are the school of architecture and city planning and the school of aeronautical and space engineering. The University of Stuttgart is highly regarded in all branches of engineering and has an especially strong profile in the natural sciences and mathematics.  Liberal arts students would also do well to consider Stuttgart, as the course offerings in the humanities and social sciences are impressive.
